The Mission of the Southwest Michigan Council, To seek out and support community organizations which have expressed a commitment to youth.
To deliver the Scouting program, through these organizations, which is designed to instill the desirable qualities of character, personal fitness and participating citizenship in the youth of our service area.
To support community organizations, in the delivery and administration of the program, with trained adult volunteers and professional leaders.

We are comprised of 6 counties which are divided into 4 districts. Over 8,000 youth are served by the Council with 2500 adult volunteers.

Newo District -- Saint Joseph & Branch Counties
Nottawa Trails District -- Calhoun County & Bellevue
Wabano District -- N. Berrien & W. Van Buren Counties
